Forest Park Crematorium’s new manager is a familiar face
Anyone who has visited Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium since 2019 may already be familiar with its new manager Daren Trinder.
Daren has been at the site since 2019, first as a regional cremator technician, then Supervisor and latterly as Grounds Team Leader before being appointed to his first site manager role.
As Grounds Team Leader, he oversaw the planting of a tree to honour the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth in 2022, which became a memorial tree following her passing in September that year, and he then oversaw the planting of a tree to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners-operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 38 sites across England, Scotland and Wales, all set within beautifully-landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Daren joined Westerleigh Group in 2017 as Cemetery and Crematorium Assistant at Parndon Wood Cemetery & Crematorium before moving to Forest Park two years later.
Before joining Westerleigh Group, he worked for Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council, in their cemeteries, but said he was eager to develop his skills in a crematorium setting too.
He said: “I was excited and pleased to be offered my first site manager role here at Forest Park, which offers a very calm and relaxed setting.
“My aim is to support families and do whatever I can to help them through very sad and difficult times, ensuring that Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium continues to provide the exceptional care that Westerleigh Group is well-known for.
“I am also looking forward to continuing our important work with our neighbouring communities, especially supporting local charities wherever we can.

Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium is run by Westerleigh Group on behalf of Redbridge London Borough Council.
